Freeman Arts Pavilion is excited to present a free performance by the Twin Poets, on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 5:30 p.m. hosted by the Selbyville Public Library.

Freeman Arts, a program of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, has partnered with The Twin Poets through its Arts Education program for several years and recently expanded its partnership to include the community at large. Although this is the Twin Poets’ first time visiting the Selbyville Public Library, they frequent libraries throughout Delaware, including Georgetown Public Library in February through their partnership with Freeman Arts.

“As we count down the months until we open the new library building, events such as this one become even more special.  We’re grateful for the contribution the Twin Poets will make to the rich history of the Townsend house,” said Selbyville Public Library Director Kelly Kline.

Along with holding the distinction of being Delaware’s Poets Laureate, brothers Albert Mills and Representative Nnamdi Chukwoucha, have both served their country in the U.S. Army, and their communities with careers in social work. Through their life experiences, the brothers discovered the transformative and healing power of poetry, directing their work particularly to helping young people and veterans.

Freeman Arts and Selbyville Public Library have overlapping missions to provide access to programs that educate and entertain the community.
