Lauren has been with the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber for over 10 years and meets every new challenge and question with the drive to do what’s right and with the Chamber’s mission always in mind.  In her role as Executive Director, she truly assists in all aspects of the Chamber day-to-day, in addition to addressing topics like economic development, workforce development and housing, childcare, and more, on local, county, and state levels.

Membership & Programming Director | Emily Mais

Emily joined the Chamber staff in January of 2023 and is the point contact for all membership inquiries and networking events, as the Membership & Programming Director.  Contact Emily to plan a ribbon cutting ceremony, participate in annual shop local initiatives, learn how to best utilize your Chamber membership, stay updated on local town council and committee meetings, or discuss Chamber member benefit programs.

 

Events Manager | Alyssa Leonard

As the Events Manager, Alyssa organizes the Chamber’s annual Signature Events, including the Fire & Ice Festival, the Joshua M. Freeman First Responder Awards, the Ocean to Bay Bike Tour & Coastal Cruise, Old Timers’ Day Classic Car Show & Family Festival, Lifeguard Awards, and the Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival.  Contact Alyssa if you’re interested in event sponsorships, volunteer opportunities, and other avenues for business involvement in the Chamber’s events.  Alyssa’s event planning is responsible for bringing thousands of people to the Quiet Resorts each year!

 

Visitor Services & Administrative Assistant | Sarah Spencer

Sarah is the first point of contact that many people, visitors and members alike, have with the Chamber!  As the Visitor Services & Administrative Assistant she assists all other Chamber team members in their day-to-day tasks, manages the Fenwick Island Information Center, sells State Park Passes, and does it all with a smile.  Contact Sarah with any of your general membership inquiries and she can assist you or get you connected with one of the other staff members.

 

Marketing & Communications Manager | Gabrielle McCormick

Gabi joined the BFACC staff in August of 2025 and handles graphic design, advertising, newsletters, press releases, social media and more, as the BFACC’s Marketing & Communications Manager!  As an Ocean View native whose family owns a local business, Gabi is excited to work with other local businesses in The Quiet Resorts.

Customer Service Representative | Barbara Schuckman

Barbara joined the BFACC staff part-time in February of 2025 as a Customer Service Representative and manages the Chamber’s Dagsboro and Fenwick Island Information Centers. She assists with selling State Park passes, updating Chamber member collateral, answers phones, and visitor inquiries. You will find her at the Fenwick office on Saturdays so stop by and say “Hi!”.
