The Mission

The Chamber’s mission is to develop and implement destination events, participate in advocacy efforts, and provide opportunities for networking, marketing, and education with the goal of improving member success and enhancing the quality of life in the Quiet Resorts.

Service Area

The Chamber serves 10 towns in southern Sussex County, referred to as the Quiet Resorts, from Rt. 1 to Rt. 113, from the Indian River Inlet to the DE/MD state line:

  • Clarksville
  • Dagsboro
  • Fenwick Island
  • Frankford
  • Millville
  • Ocean View
  • Roxana
  • Selbyville
  • South Bethany

  • The Chamber is a 501c6 not-for-profit organization.
  • The Chamber was founded in 1976.
  • The Quiet Resorts region is home to approximately 34,000 year-round residents.
  • There are over 700 active business members in the membership.
  • The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber is the 2nd largest Chamber in Sussex County!

Advocacy

In addition to attending local town council meetings, Chamber staff members are involved in a variety of advocacy efforts and committees, covering topics including but not limited to housing, childcare, and economic development.  Here is a handful of the committees the BFACC sits on in Quiet Resorts and at the state & county level:
