On Wednesday, September 18, the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce presented checks totaling $7,000 to the art programs at John M. Clayton Elementary School, Lord Baltimore Elementary School, Phillip C. Showell Elementary School, Southern Delaware School of the Arts, and Selbyville Middle School. Freeman Arts Pavilion’s Arts Access Initiative and the LEO club from Indian River High School were also included in the contributions. This year, students, parents, and teachers from beneficiary schools and organizations participated in the festival by volunteering their time.

The checks were presented at the Chamber’s Business After Hours Networking event hosted at Mio Fratello’s Loft on 54.  Nearly $5,000 of the proceeds were raised at the Silent Auction during the Chamber’s Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival on September 9th which was sponsored by Jayne’s Reliable of Dagsboro.  $2,170 was raised from a new Wine Tasting event added to the Arts Festival to celebrate its 45th anniversary. The Wine Tasting, sponsored by Beach Liquors was held at Harvest Tide Steakhouse and featured tastings from a variety of 60 different wines.

This nationally ranked show is a juried event that hosts over 100 juried artists to showcase and sell their work. The featured artists bring unique creations representing a variety of different mediums including paintings, photography, woodwork, metalwork, clay, and jewelry.

Mark your calendars! The Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival will return on Saturday, September 7, 2024. To learn more about the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, visit thequietresorts.com or call (302) 539-2100.
