Selbyville Christmas Parade Set for First Friday of December
THE 56th SELBYVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE SET FOR THE FIRST FRIDAY OF DECEMBER
FENWICK ISLAND, DE – The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce (BFACC) is excited to announce the 56th Annual Selbyville Christmas Parade presented by Selbyville Holly KIA on Friday, December 2, 2016. All are invited to come out and join in this festive occasion to celebrate the holiday season. Starting at 7:00 p.m., the parade begins at Town Hall and ends at the PNC Bank parking lot at the corner of Church and Main Streets. 47 ABC WMDT – TV, Mediacom and PNC are supporting sponsors of the parade. Organized by the BFACC in collaboration with the town, this annual celebration is highlighted with yuletide favorites including marching bands, fire trucks, antique cars, colorful floats and, of course, a special appearance by Santa Claus. Children can visit Santa’s House sponsored by Dickens Parlour Theatre from 5:30 until 7 p.m. before he rides in the parade.
Floats will be competing in a variety of categories. The “Overall Dazzler” best in show award sponsored by the Coastal Point will be chosen by the judges. This year’s parade emcee is Emily Lampa from 47 ABC WMDT – TV. There is no cost to register a float, and any person, group or business is invited to participate in this holiday tradition. In addition, Food Vendor applications are also being accepted for a $25 fee.
