On Friday, April 4, 2025, the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Hometown Creamery on Lighthouse Road in Selbyville.  Friends, family, and community members were in attendance.

Formerly known as The Blue Scoop, Hometown Creamery is the same friendly spot serving up your favorite ice cream from Woodside Farm Creamery, now with a fresh new vibe and ownership.  For co-owners Erin Baker and Katelyn Townsend, their passion is simple: to create a community focused space, pouring passion and love into everything they do!  From familiar favorites to exciting new menu options, they’ve got something for every dessert lover.
