Top Idea Will Win $15,000

The Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation will host the 7th annual Reinventing Delaware event on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at CSC Station in Wilmington, Delaware. This year’s Reinventing Delaware is proudly presented by Discover Bank. Entrepreneurs, business leaders, Foundation members, and community stakeholders from across the state will come together to showcase their ideas to create jobs and make Delaware an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

To be included in the invitation-only event, individuals are asked to submit an idea for consideration as part of the business incubator program. The most bold and innovative ideas will be invited to present their idea amongst 100 other individuals during the evening program.

Following the evening, the review committee will select the best ideas to participate in an idea development process. At the end of this business development process, one idea will be named the 2022 Reinventing Delaware Winner and will receive $15,000.

Previous Reinventing Delaware winners include: NERDiT NOW, Zip Code Wilmington, WilmInvest LLC, Wilmington Green Box, The Warehouse, and Intern Delaware.

“Reinventing Delaware is one of the many ways the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation is helping to identify the next big idea that will create jobs and make Delaware better” said Thère du Pont, chair, Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation.

Public submissions will be accepted through the foundation’s website from September 15 at 7 a.m. through September 30 at 9 a.m. To learn more about Reinventing Delaware or to submit your idea visit
