Local Artist Barbara Petterson donates original artwork for raffle to benefit The Lewes Historical Society
Lewes, Delaware- The Lewes Historical Society invites the public for a chance to win an exclusive original acrylic painting by local artist Barbara Petterson. This wintry scene of the East End Lighthouse in Lewes, reminds us of how beautiful our coastline is after a light dusting of snow.
The 8” x 16” painting is professionally framed. Barbara has graciously donated the painting to the Society to be raffled off. The image will also be used on the ticket cover of the 2016 Christmas Tour of Lewes, to take place on Saturday, December 3.
Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and are available at The Lewes Historical Society’s Zwaanendael Club Museum Store at 302 Savannah Road in Lewes, through December 23, 2016, when the drawing will be held. Tickets can also be purchased by phone 302-645-7670. All proceeds benefit the Society’s programs in education and historic preservation. Note cards and posters featuring the painting will also be available at the Museum Store.
“The Lewes Historical Society thanks Barbara for donating the beautiful painting for raffle to benefit the Society,” said Mike DiPaolo, Executive Director of the Society. “Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Society’s efforts to continue offering a rich and exciting array of activities that engage our visitors and promote Lewes’s unique heritage.”
